Stage en Food and Beverage Assistant in a Luxury Hotel in Galway en Galway

This hotel, which was opened on Saint Patricks Day located in the suburbs of Galway has been independently run for over 50 years. Located next to Galway City, (the European Capital of Culture for 2020) and Galway Bay this hotel is ideally situated for a student looking to have a memorable experience in one of Ireland’s most beautiful cities.

This hotel offers its guests a luxurious escape where there are beautiful gardens, open fires and spacious lounges. It is an ideal venue for events and weddings. It has previously been voted as Ireland’s Top Wedding Venue of the Year.

Students who are lucky enough to be accepted on to this placement will have the opportunity to learn what it is like to work in a high-quality institution, all whilst improving their language skills in one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland.

The student will assist in the Restaurants and Bar of this  Hotel:

• Preparing dining room, including all necessary mise-en-place for service
• Serving customers in a professional, efficient and courteous manner
• Ensuring tables are well dressed and decorations comply with agreed standards
• Take orders from customers and ensure these are given to the appropriate person to execute.
• Being totally familiar with the composition of all menu items
• Cleaning tables as soon as customers have finished their food or drink with an acceptable balance between speed, without making them feel rushed
• Ensuring that customers are correctly charged, present the bill and take payment from the customer
• Attending to customer complaints satisfactorily
