Our partner hotel is located in Galicia and it´s a 4-star resort with a spa in a small town on the coast. IT´s part of a small Spanish hotel chain, and we´ve been collaborating with them since 2010 providing excellent experiences to interns.
Galicia is a region that surprises travellers, and the Galicians are most hospitable people. The region is not very well-known outside of Spain, but it has great attractions on the national level: nature, wild coast, cuisine and exquisite wines, historic cities… Would you like to be trained as a receptionist, waiter or cook? This experience will help you start a carrer in hospitality.
The hotel offers monthly remuneration, a bed in a shared room and 3 meals each day of your stay. They will also give you a uniform and free access to the washing machine. The weekly schedule varies, as in every hotel in the world, but you´ll work max. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off a week. Internship tasks:
- service during breakfasts, lunches and dinners
- preparing the dining room and the buffet
- mise en place (reviewing materials, setting tables)
- ensuring that all products and metarials are in stock
- charging clients
- cleaning your job post and work tools
- preparing and serving simple starters
- promoting consumption among clients according to the hotel´s needs (sales)
- advising clients with the right choice of dishes and drinks
- attending complaints and suggestions of clients, and reporting them to the supervisor
- supervising compliance with the daily check lists
- all other tasks assigned by the manager in charge
